Inspired by the natural world at a young age—I grew up in the northwoods but eventually headed west, finding myself in the mountains of Montana. There I received a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from Montana State University’s renowned School of Film and Photography. Since, I have worked in the outdoor industry for over a decade and I am fortunate enough to live and work in a place where mountains, rivers and trails are just minutes from the doorstep.
My work centers exclusively on the outdoors—capturing the striking interactions between humans and the natural environment. It is this dichotomy—the natural beauty of a wild landscape enhanced by an individual connecting with it—that has challenged me and inspired me throughout the years.
With a constantly evolving outlook and a desire for new challenges, I create images from authentic situations and raw environments. Having worked in some of the most challenging and remote locations, I have been able to consistently deliver powerful projects while working with commercial and editorial clients to produce content that tells a story, connects with the viewer, and ultimately commands attention.
